PERSONAL AUTOMATION

Bytefox Tasks Sync

Tasks in Craft and Google Tasks, kept in sync.

In development · For personal and family use

Bytefox Tasks Sync is a personal automation being developed by Maksim Rososhanskii. It is intended to synchronise tasks in both directions between Craft and Google Tasks for the owner and his spouse.

What it is being built to do

Each person's private Craft space will sync with their own Google Tasks account. A shared Craft space will sync with both accounts. Each person authorises access to their own Google account.

The intended behaviour includes reading task lists and tasks, creating and updating tasks, and applying task changes such as completion or deletion between the connected services. The synchronisation workflows are not active yet; these pages describe their planned purpose and the data handling of the supporting system.

Why Google access is needed

The Google Tasks permission allows the automation to read and manage your task lists and tasks. This is needed for two-way synchronisation. No Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or other Google API access is planned.

How it will run

The automation runs on the owner's privately hosted n8n instance. Its interface is available only through the owner's private network or VPN. This public website provides information; it does not sign users in or collect task data.

Access is intended for the owner and his spouse. There is no public registration or hosted service offered to other users.

Your data and your choices

Task data is exchanged with Craft and Google Tasks to perform the requested sync. Service data may be kept in the private n8n database and encrypted backups. You can revoke Google access and contact the owner to request deletion of service data.

Read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service before authorising access. These disclosures will be updated before workflows introduce any different data use.
